Intro)

Today’s title is live with the dream. What kind of man God would use? A man lives with the dream. Someone asked some company’s chairman about what kind of person he would like to use? Chairman replied “I do not want smart nor good, but someone who has idea to develop the company and its dream.”

 

This is a story of Korean CEO who succeeds in Indonesia with shoe brand name KMT. He made a shoe shop at the corner of restaurant. Over time it grew into a biggest shoe company in Indonesia. KMT have 20thousand employees. CEO gave watchword for the company, which said, ‘Give and give and forget.’ KMT CEO felt satisfaction when he gave something to people, so he would pay off his employees’ family’s tuition, hospital fee etc and made impression that this company is a good company to work at. Employees of this company feel pride and say it is a good company. It grew and now product is what Nike wants the most. When you give it becomes a dream that excites people.

 

 3. It is same to God. He wants someone with dream. Author of Psalm says people with no dream will fall. Do you have a dream? Have you lost your dream? Or never had one? If don’t have it, you will be harder to be used by God. but do not be disappointed, in today’s verse it says,  ‘28 "And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions.’

Whoever received Holy Spirit you can have a great dream. Based on this statement let’s talk about what we have to do in the future.

Body)

 

 A) Work and pray hard to talk about future.

 1. What is the difference between child and old? Child talks about future, and old talks about the past. However, if there is a Holy Spirit no matter what your age is, you will become a man who talks about future. Because there is a faith, faith is form that you wish and it is a proof that you cannot see.

 

2. There are no people who remember their past like Israel. They will not forget their past. They would not forget what happened in Masada, 969 warriors who fought against Romans and past away. Soldiers who finished training remembers and pledge loyalty saying ‘may lose or die, we will never surrender!’

 

 

 

3. They won’t forget about exodus. Therefore, they keep their Passover for 3500 years and tradition. They eat unleavened bread and bitter herbs and remind themselves what happened in the past. That God saved them by sending Mosses to save them from Egypt.

 

 4. And they won’t forget about advent.

In the days of Persian King Ahasuerus, Haman, the dignitary of Persia (Persia), tried to kill the Jews, but king died and Jews were saved. Why they try to remember the past? It is for the better future. Live as God’s people. However, old story with no future is no good. Try to talk about future more. Your age does not matter. Think about what to do tomorrow and plan ahead. Become a man God wants.

 

 

 B) Pray to dream

1. Joel said, “Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions.” As you know dreaming is free, so you should dream all the time. You don’t become an old man because of age. You become an old man when your dream dies.

2. When you look into bible there are stories of old men. Abraham left his hometown at age of 75. He had a plan to have a son at age of 100. Later his dream came true. Isaac was born

 

3. Noah started his best work at age of 600. New era started after he was 600 years old.

 

4. Mosses were called by God when he was 80 years old. When he was young his dream in Egypt didn’t work. He lost his power, and people. In wilderness he spent 40 years as a shepherd. When he thought his life was almost over God called him. His life was renewed. He called him to become a leader of people.

 

5. Proverbs 24:16 says, ¹⁶ For a righteous man may fall seven times
And rise again,
But the wicked shall fall by calamity.

Righteous man who has faith in Jesus will rise again no matter how many times they fall.  

 

C) Pray to show vision

 1. Bible says young will see vision. What is vision? A goal. With Holy Spirit’s help you will have goal and strength and wisdom to get to the goal.

 

2. Paul Mire who became a Millionaire at 27 said, “when I set a goal, it leads me’

 3. Wayfarer got lost in the desert. When you are lost in desert many result in death. No food or water and the temperature were dropping. At that time he found a foot step. He started to follow the foot step and realized it was his and he returned to where he started. You need to follow God’s flag and not your own foot step.

 

4. There was a woman named Susan. At young age her parents past. She worked in the barbershop as a cleaning role. People liked her because she was nice and obedient. one day they turned the TV on for her to watch. From the TV there was a sermon and Susan watched and she was touched. She accepted Jesus that day. When she turned 14 she became a good barber, and kept listening to sermon. She prayed to God one day she wanted to spread gospel. on her day off she went to Cruise ship captain and told him her dream and asked if there is a way to fulfill her dream. Captain said without money it will be hard to do so. Little later captain realized he needed a barber on his ship. So, she hires her. one day there was a storm and people got sea sick on the ship. one of man got sick and fell into her barbershop door and became unconscious.

She pulled him in and nursed him to become well. Man woke up little after and wanted to repay her. So, he took her to one of famous jewelry shop in New York. Susan refused to pick any, but the man insisted. So, Susan picked small jewelry. The man realized Susan is not greedy and good hearted woman. The man was rich and asked her to marry him. She married the man and her rich husband gifted cruise ship to her. Now her dream came true, she was going all over the world with the ship and spread gospel as she dreamed.

Loving everyone! Bible says, 28 "And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions.

The day it is referring to is today! It is an era of church and Holy Spirit. In book of Acts Holy Spirit came to all disciples, so they spoke tongues, exorcise ghost, healed illness, and resurrect dead. Did mission work with life, and Roman turn into Christian nation. Later on, the world rose with their faith like fire. Hallelujah! 

 

Being a man with dream is quite simple. Accept Jesus as my savior, and only begotten son who sacrificed his life to give us salvation. Then, regardless of race and age Holy Spirit will come to us and lead us.

 

When someone is drowning the rescuer wouldn’t save right away, because they are waiting for that person to lose energy or the person will hold on to rescuer too hard it can be dangerous. We have to give up my own plan and thinking to God, and leave our future to God. Follow where he leads us. pray for God to use you as a worker.  Be obedient and trust God. Live with vision. Pray and live with vision that God provided for us! Amen!
