14.느부갓네살이 그들에게 물어 가로되 사드락, 메삭, 아벳느고야 너희가 내 신을 섬기지 아니하며 내가 세운 금 신상에게 절하지 아니하니 짐짓 그리하였느냐 15.이제라도 너희가 예비하였다가 언제든지 나팔과 피리와 수금과 삼현금과 양금과 생황과 및 모든 악기 소리를 듣거든 내가 만든 신상 앞에 엎드리어 절하면 좋거니와 너희가 만일 절하지 아니하면 즉시 너희를 극렬히 타는 풀무 가운데 던져 넣을 것이니 능히 너희를 내 손에서 건져 낼 신이 어떤 신이겠느냐

 

16.  사드락과 메삭과 아벳느고가 왕에게 대답하여 가로되 느부갓네살이여 우리가 이 일에 대하여 왕에게 대답할 필요가 없나이다 만일 그럴 것이면 왕이여 우리가 섬기는 우리 하나님이 우리를 극렬히 타는 풀무 가운데서 능히 건져내시겠고 왕의 손에서도 건져내시리이다 그리 아니하실찌라도 왕이여 우리가 왕의 신들을 섬기지도 아니하고 왕의 세우신 금 신상에게 절하지도 아니할 줄을 아옵소서

서론)

초대교회의 교부들 중에는 ‘황금의 입’이라는 별명을 가진 ‘크리소스톰’이라는 분이 있었는데, 어느날 그는 당시 로마 정부의 기독교 탄압에 의해 체포되어 감옥에 갇히게 되었습니다. 그때 그는 감옥에서 기도하기를 "주님! 감옥에 갇힌 죄수들에게 복음을 전하라고 저를 이곳으로 보내 주셨군요. 감사합니다" 라고 기도하였습니다. 그리고 그는 감옥에서도 쉬지 않고 복음을 전했습니다. 결국 그는 사형을 당하게 되었습니다. 그러자 그는 다시 기도하기를 "주님! 감사 합니다. 성도의 가장 아름다운 죽음이 순교라고 했는데, 저 같은 사람도 순교의 반열에 동참케 하시니 감사합니다." 라고 기도한 후, 사형장으로 끌려갔습니다. 그런데 사형을 집행하기 직전에 갑자기 사형중지 명령이 내려왔습니다. 그때 그는 또 기도하기를 "하나님! 감사합니다. 아직도 종에게 할 일이 남았으면 죽도록 충성할 수 있도록 도와주옵소서" 라고 기도했다고 합니다.
‘크리소스톰’의 감사는 살아도 감사요, 죽어도 감사였습니다. 이러한 감사는 사도 바울에게 찾아볼 수 있는 감사였습니다. 바울 역시 복음을 전하다가 감옥에 갇히게 되었습니다. 죽을지 살지 전혀 모를만큼 박해가 심각했던 상황이었습니다. 뿐만 아니라 감옥 밖에 있는 사람들 중에도 기를 쓰고 바울을 죽이거나 괴롭히려는 사람들이 부지기수였습니다. 그 모든 상황 속에서도 바울은 오히려 예수 그리스도의 복음이 전파됨을 기뻐하며 전도하며 감사하고 살았습니다. 사도 바울의 감사도 환경과 무관한 감사였습니다.

오늘 본문 말씀은 살아도 감사 죽어도 감사로 일관한 참된 믿음으로 살았던 다니엘의 세 친구 , 즉 사드락과 메삭과 아벳느고의 이야기입니다.
오늘 본문은 유다가 멸망하여 바벨론에 포로가 되었을 때, 바벨론 땅에서 일어난 사건입니다.

1차 침공 때, 바벨론에 끌려간 포로들은 대부분 유다의 왕족과 귀족들, 그리고 주요 인사들이 었습니다. 그 중에 다니엘과 세명의 친구인 사드락과 메삭과 아벳느고가 포함되어 있었습니다. 네 사람은 모두 바벨론의 왕궁학교에서 교육을 받았습니다. 그리고 하나님의 도우심으로 다니엘은 바벨론의 총리가 되었고, 세 명의 친구들은 도지사가 되었습니다. 이방의 점령국에 포로로 잡혀간 처지였음에도 불구하고 그 나라의 한 도를 다스리는 방백들이 된 것입니다. 뿐만 아니라 오늘 본문 말씀의 마지막 부분을 보면 왕이 그들을 더욱 높였다고 말씀하고 있습니다. 오늘날로 말하면 소위 대단히 성공한 사람들이 된 것입니다.

(그렇다면 우리는 그들이 어떤 사람들이었고, 또한 어떠한 삶을 살았기에 하나님께서 그들과 함께 하시고 그들을 축복하셨는지를 살펴보아야 할 것입니다. 아울러 이 말씀을 통해서 하나님께서 오늘 여러분 한 사람 한 사람에게 주시는 요청은 무엇인지를 들을 수 있어야 할 것입니다.)

 

본론)
가)첫째로, 사드락과 메삭과 아벳느고는 목숨을 걸고 하나님을 섬긴 사람들이었습니다(13-15절).
 아시다시피, 사드락과 메삭과 아벳느고, 그리고 총리가 된 다니엘도 조그마한 유다 나라에서 포로로 잡혀 온 무력한 소년들이었습니다.  그럼에도 불구하고 하나님이 함께 하셨기에 바벨론 왕의 총애를 받아 총리가 되고 방백이 되었습니다. 그러다보니 자연스럽게 많은 정치인들과 관리들에게 미움의 대상이 되었습니다. 특히 바벨론의 본토박이인 갈대아(이라크 남부) 사람 들이 그들을 더 시기하고 미워하게 되었습니다.

그러던 차에, 그들을 시기하는 사람들에게 좋은 기회가 주어졌습니다. 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살이 금으로 신상을 만들고는 신상이 완공된 낙성식 때에, 모든 신하들과 백성들로 하여금 그 신상에게 절하며 섬기게 법을 만든 것입니다. 결국 만일 누구든지 그 금신상에게 절하지 않으면 극렬히 타는 용광로에 던져 넣어 죽이겠다는 조서가 발표되었습니다. 그럼에도 그것을 뻔히 알면서도, 세 친구는 절하지 않았습니다. 이유는 유일한 참 신이신 하나님을 믿는 사람으로서 우상에게는 절할 수 없다는 것이었습니다.
결국 그들은 고발되고 체포되어 ‘느부갓네살 왕’의 앞에까지 끌려왔습니다. 단순히 하나님 한 분만을 믿는 신앙 때문에 촉망받던 도지사의 자리들에서 죄인들의 신분으로 변해 버린 것입니 다. 그래도 왕은 그들을 아끼고 사랑했기에 그들의 생명을 살려주려고 애를 쓰고 달래 봅니다.

오늘날 성도들도 사회 생활하다 보면 세상 사람들의 여러 가지 부당한 요구, 무리한 요구, 불법 적 요구, 양심에 꺼려지는 요구들을 받기 쉽습니다. 성공과 출세를 위해 믿는 사람들임에도 불구하고 세상 속에 묻히고 타협하며 살기 쉽습니다. 어떤 분은 예수 그리스도를 믿는 사람임 을 아예 숨기고 살아갑니다. 한국에선 일반 회사나 관공서에서 돼지 머리 놓고 고사를 지내면 믿는 사람임에도 불구하고 그 앞에 절하는 사람들도 꽤 있습니다. 하나님의 말씀대로 사는 생활을 아예 포기하는 경우도 있습니다. 그러나 하나님께서 우리에게 원하시는 삶은 그런 삶이 아닙니다. 하나님은 우리에게 절대적인 신앙을 요구하고 계십니다.  사드락과 메삭과 아벳느 고는 바로 그런 절대적 믿음을 가졌습니다.

나)둘째로, 사드락과 메삭과 아벳느고는 하나님을 바로 알고 믿었습니다(16-17절).
본문을 보면, 사드락과 메삭과 아벳느고는 당시 세계 최고의 왕이었던 느부갓네살 왕과 당당히 맞서고 있습니다. 본문 16절과 17절을 다시 말하면 "왕이시여! 왕이 우리를 보고 우상에게 절하고 우상을 섬기라고 하지만, 우리는 이 일에 대하여는 대답할 필요조차 느끼지 않습니다. 설령 왕이 우리를 극렬히 타는 용광로에 던지신다 해도 하나님은 우리를 건져내실 것입니다. 그리고 왕의 손에서도 우리를 구해 내실 것입니다" 라고 담대하게 대답하고 있습니다. 그들은 죽음이 당장 닥쳐 온다 해도 눈 하나 꿈적않는 믿음의 사람들이었습니다.

다니엘서 1장에서도, 그들이 처음 바벨론에 포로로 잡혀와 왕궁학교에 입학했을 때,그때부터 이미 다니엘과 오늘 본문의 주인공인 세 명의 친구들은 남다른 데가 있었습니다. 그들은 바벨론 왕궁에서 하사하는 우상에게 드려진 기름진 고기와 산해진미를 먹지 않고 채식을 먹게 해 달라고 요구했습니다. 하나님의 율법이 금하고 있는 음식을 먹지 않았습니다.
 그들은 어려서부터 하나님의 말씀을 열심히 공부하고 배우고 실천하며 살았습니다. 그리고  하나님과 날마다 기도로 교제하였습니다. 하나님은 바벨론 왕보다 몇 천배, 혹은 몇 만배 크고 능력있으시며 살아계신 하나님이심을 알았습니다. 그리고 하나님은 어떤 용광로의 불길에서도 능히 보호하시고 살리실 수 있는 분이심을 믿었습니다. 그랬기에 대 제국 바벨론의 황제도 회유의 말을 더는 할 수 없을 만큼 단호하고 담대했습니다.

 여러분! 오늘날 우리의 삶을 어떻습니까? 혹시 여러분은 어떤 사람이 두려워서 해야 할 말, 전해야 할 하나님의 말씀을 입 밖에도 절대 못 내는 그런 삶을 사고 있지는 않습니까? 사람 을 두려워 하고 직장 상사를 두려워해서 불의한 일, 하나님이 싫어하시는 일임을 뻔히 알면서도 마지 못해 하고 있지는 않으십니까?  사람들이 두려워 주눅이 들어 사는 성도는 아닙니까?

미국 남부지방에 사는 어느 청년이 한겨울에 와이오밍에 사는 자기 친구를 방문한 일이 있었답니다. 날씨가 영상 5도(화씨 41도) 가량 올라간 어느날 오후, 두 사람은 차를 타고 시골길을 가게 되었습니다. 꽁꽁 언 호수를 보고 그들은 차를 세워 놓고 호수를 구경하기로 했습니다. 와이오밍에 사는 친구는 차에서 내리자마자 호수 한가운데로 얼음 위를 뛰어 들어갔으나, 남부에서 온 친구는 조심스럽게 얼음 위를 걸으면서 호수 가운데로는 가지 못하고 호숫가에서만 서 있었습니다. 그러다 발끝을 세우고 조심스럽게 걸어다녔습니다. 그때 커다란 트랙터 소리가 나더니, 그 지방의 농부가 커다란 트랙터를 몰고 호수 한 가운데로 지나갔습니다. 그 순간 그는 발끝을 얼음위에 겨우 세우고 있는 자신을 내려다 보았습니다.  자신이 정말 한심했다는 생각이 들었습니다. 그러면 무엇 때문에 이런 차이가 생긴 것입니까? 그것은 그 지방의 농부는 호수의 얼음을 알고 있었고, 그 남부 청년은 모르기 때문이었습니다. 이와 같이 많은 그리스도인들이 하나님께서 얼마나 의지할만한 분이신지 모르기 때문에 그와의 관계를 발끝으로만 맺고 있는 것입니다. 그것이 오늘날 우리들의 모습은 아닌지요?

하나님을 더 많이 알면 알수록 우리는 하나님을 더 잘 믿을 수 있습니다. 그러므로 우리는 하나님의 말씀을 열심히 읽고 배워 기도 가운데 믿음을 날마다 키워가야 합니다.  히브리서 11:6= "믿음이 없이는 기쁘시게 못하나니, 하나님께 나아가는 자는 반드시 그가 계신 것과, 그가 자기를 찾는 자들에게 상 주시는 하나님이심을 믿어야 할지니라" 라고 말씀하셨습니다. 하나님을 찾는 자들에게 상주시는 하나님이심을 믿는다면 아무것도 두려워할 것이 없는 것입니다.

다)세번째로, 사드락과 메삭과 아벳느고는 '그리 아니하실지라도'의 성숙한 신앙을 가졌습니다(18절).
본문18절은 그들의 믿음이 얼마나 성숙하고 차원높은 믿음인지를 보여주고 있는 것입니다.
우리는 때때로 하나님께 기도하기를 하나님께서 나를 도와주시면 헌신하겠습니다. 하나님이 나를 축복해 주시고, 하나님이 나를 고쳐 주시고, 하나님이 내 기도를 들어주시면 무엇인가를  하겠다고 기도합니다.

그러나 18절을 보시면……. 사드락과 메삭고 아벳느고는 이렇게 말합니다. "왕이시여! 하나님 은 우리를 풀무불 속에서나 왕의 손에서 건져 주실 것입니다. 그러나 그리 아니하실지라도! 우리는 왕이 세운 우상에게 절할 수 없나이다" 라고 말했습니다. 죽으면 죽었지 하나님을 배반할 수 없고, 죽으면 죽었지 우상에게 절하거나 신앙의 절개를 버릴 수는 없다는 것입니다.

여러분! 하나님에 대한 믿음이 이쯤 된다면 하나님도 방관하실 수 없습니다. 그런 사람 죽으면 하나님의 영광이 가리워질 것이요, 하나님께 너무 큰 손해가 나기 때문입니다.  

우리의 믿음도 이러한 믿음이 되어야 합니다. 하나님이 내게 응답해 주셨기 때문이 아니라, 하나님의 존재 자체만으로도 감사하고 하나님의 베푸신 십자가 은혜만으로도 기뻐하고 찬양할 수 있어야 합니다. 때로는 내게 응답하시든지 그렇지 않든지 간에, 하나님의 주권을 인정하고 하나님을 섬기고 사랑하는 절대적 신앙을 가져야 합니다.

라)마지막으로, 본문은 이러한 믿음의 세 가지 결과가 무엇인가?

1)첫째로, 그들은 풀무불에 던져졌으나 구원을 받았습니다(19-27절).
본문을 보면 그들은 일반 풀무의 7배나 뜨겁게 한 용광로 에 던져졌습니다. 그러나 하나님은 그 속에서 그들을 하나님은 살려내셨습니다. 머리카락 하나 그슬리지 않았다 했습니다. 할렐루야! 하나님은 어떠한 상황과 환경 속에서도 저와 여러분을 지켜주실 수 있는 능력이 있으십니다.

2)둘째로, 하나님의 이름이 높임을 받았습니다(29절). 하나님을 믿지 않는 이방의 왕이었지 만 느부갓네살은 분명한 어조로 여호와 하나님만이 참 신이심을 선포하였습니다. 뿐만 아니라 하나님을 경멸하는 자들은 그 몸을 쪼개고, 그 집을 거름터를 삼겠다고 명령했습니다.

3)세 번째로, 하나님은 그들의 지위를 더욱 높여 주셨습니다(30절).
하나님만 섬기고 우상을 거부하는 것은 망하는 길 같았지만 흥하는 길이었습니다. “왕이 드디어 사드락과 메삭과 아벳느고를 바벨론 도에서 더욱 높이니라”라고 했습니다. 할렐루야! 여러분이 여러분의 삶의 현장에서 이러한 분명한 결단을 갖고 살아갈 때에 하나님은 오늘도 여러분의 생활 속에서 역사하십니다. 그것이 곧 인생에 성공하는 길이요, 승리하는 길임을 성경은 말씀하고 있습니다.

결론)
이런 의미에서 분명히 위기는 성도들에게는 새로운 축복의 기회이기도 합니다. 혼돈과 위기의 때에, 여러분의 삶의 현장에서 사드락과 메삭과 아벳느고와 같이 분명한 신앙의 결단을 가지고 사시길 바랍니다. 빛과 소금의 역할을 잘 감당하십시오. 살아도 주를 위해 살고 죽어도 주를 위해 죽으십시오. 그러면 오히려 하나님께서 여러분에게 참된 성공과 승리를 주실 것입니다. 할렐루야!

                                  But if not ! (Daniel 3:14-18)

14 Nebuchadnezzar answered and said to them, "Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, that you do not serve my gods or worship the golden image that I have set up?

15 Now if you are ready when you hear the sound of the horn, pipe, lyre, trigon, harp, bagpipe, and every kind of music, to fall down and worship the image that I have made, well and good. But if you do not worship, you shall immediately be cast into a burning fiery furnace. And who is the god who will deliver you out of my hands?"

16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to the king, "O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter.

17 If this be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king.

18 But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up."

Introduction)

Among the fathers of the Early Church, there was a person called Chrysostom, nicknamed “Golden Mouth,” but one day he was arrested and imprisoned by the Roman government’s Christian suppression. At that time, he prayed in prison, "Lord! You sent me here to preach the gospel to the prisoners in prison. Thank you." And he preached the gospel unceasingly even in prison. Eventually he was put to death. Then he prayed again, "Lord! Thank you. You said that the most beautiful death of a saint is martyrdom. Thank you for making a person like me join the ranks of martyrdom." After praying, he was taken to the place of execution. However, right before the execution, an order to stop the execution suddenly came down. At that time, he prayed again, "God! Thank you. If there is still work left to do for your servant, please help me to be faithful until death."

The gratitude of ‘Chrysostom’ was gratitude even if he lived, and even if he died. This kind of gratitude was the kind of gratitude that can be found in the apostle Paul. Paul was also imprisoned for preaching the gospel. The persecution was so severe that he did not know whether he would die or live. Not only that, but there were many people outside the prison who tried to kill or harass Paul. Even in all these situations, Paul rather lived with joy, preaching, and giving thanks for the gospel of Jesus Christ being preached. The apostle Paul's gratitude was also unrelated to the environment.

 

Today's text is the story of Daniel's three friends, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who lived with true faith, giving thanks even when they were alive and giving thanks even when they died.

Today's text is an incident that occurred in the land of Babylon when Judah was destroyed and captive to Babylon.

During the first invasion, most of the captives taken to Babylon were the royal family and nobles of Judah, and important figures. Among them were Daniel and his three friends, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. All four of them were educated at the royal school in Babylon. And with God's help, Daniel became prime minister of Babylon, and his three friends became provincial governors. Even though he was taken captive by an occupied country of a foreign country, he became a prince who ruled over a province of that country. In addition, the last part of today's text says that the king exalted them even more. He became what we would call today a very successful man.

(Then, we should look at what kind of people they were and what kind of lives they lived so that God was with them and blessed them. Also, through these words, what is God's request for each of you today? should be able to hear.)

 

Main subject)

A) First, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego risked their lives to serve God (vv. 13-15).

  As you know, Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, and Daniel, who became prime minister, were all helpless boys taken captive from the small nation of Judah. Nevertheless, because God was with him, he was favored by the king of Babylon and became a prime minister and a prince. As a result, it naturally became an object of hatred by many politicians and officials. In particular, the people of Chaldea (southern Iraq), the natives of Babylon, came to envy and hate them more.

Then, a good opportunity was presented to those who envied them. Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, made a gold statue and made a law to have all his servants and people bow down and worship the statue at the inauguration ceremony when the statue was completed. Eventually, a decree was announced that if anyone did not bow down to the golden statue, he would be thrown into a blazing furnace and killed. Even so, despite the fact that the three friends knew it, they did not bow down. The reason was that people who believed in God, the only true God, could not bow down to idols.

Eventually, they were accused, arrested, and even brought before ‘King Nebuchadnezzar’. Because of their simple faith in God alone, they changed from the positions of promising provincial governors to those of sinners. Still, the king cherishes and loves them, so he tries to comfort them by trying to save their lives.

Today's saints are also prone to receiving various unreasonable demands, unreasonable demands, illegal demands, and unreasonable demands from the people of the world while living in society. Despite being people who believe in success and success, it is easy to be buried in the world and compromise. Some people live in hiding that they are believers in Jesus Christ. In Korea, there are quite a few people who bow in front of a pig's head at a company or government office, even though they are believers. In some cases, we even give up on living according to the Word of God. But the life God wants for us is not that kind of life. God requires absolute faith from us. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego had that kind of absolute faith.

B) Second, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego correctly knew and believed in God (vv. 16-17).

In the main text, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego stand up against King Nebuchadnezzar, who was the greatest king in the world at the time. In other words, verses 16 and 17 of the text say, “O king! The king sees us and tells us to bow down and serve idols, but we don’t even feel the need to answer for this. Even if the king throws us into a blazing furnace Even if we wear shoes, God will deliver us, and he will deliver us from the hands of kings.” They were people of faith who would not bat an eye even if death was imminent.

Even in Daniel 1, when they were first taken captive to Babylon and entered the royal school, Daniel and the three friends who are the main characters of today's text have already been in a special place. They demanded that they be allowed to eat a vegetarian diet instead of eating fatty meat and delicacies offered to idols in the Babylonian palace. They did not eat food forbidden by God's law.

  From a young age, they studied God's Word diligently, learned it, and put it into practice. And he fellowshipped with God every day through prayer. I knew that God is a living God who is thousands or tens of thousands of times greater than the king of Babylon. And I believed that God is the one who can protect and save in any furnace fire. That's why the emperor of the great empire of Babylon was so bold that he could not speak any more.

  everyone! How is our life today? Are you living a life in which someone is afraid to say the words they need to say or the Word of God to convey? Aren't you doing it reluctantly because you fear people and your boss, knowing that it is unjust and that God hates it? Aren't they the saints who live in fear of people?

A young man living in the southern United States was visiting his friend in Wyoming in the dead of winter. One afternoon, when the weather had risen by five degrees (41 degrees Fahrenheit), the two were driving down a country road. Seeing the frozen lake, they decided to park the car and look at the lake. A friend from Wyoming jumped on the ice in the middle of the lake as soon as he got out of the car, but a friend from the South walked carefully on the ice and couldn't get to the middle of the lake and stood on the shore. Then I got up on tiptoe and walked carefully. Then there was the sound of a large tractor, and a local farmer drove a large tractor through the middle of the lake. At that moment he looked down at himself barely keeping his toes on the ice. He thought he was really pathetic. So what caused this difference? It was because the local farmer knew the ice on the lake, and the southern boy didn't. Likewise, many Christians have a toe-to-toe relationship with God because they do not know how dependable God is. Isn't that what we look like today?

The more we know God, the better we can trust Him. Therefore, we must read and learn the word of God diligently and grow our faith every day. Hebrews 11:6 = "Without faith it is impossible to please God, for whoever comes to him must believe that he exists and that he is a God who rewards those who seek him." If you believe that God is the God who rewards those who seek Him, then you have nothing to fear.

C) Thirdly, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego had a mature faith of 'Even if not' (v. 18).

Verse 18 of the text shows how mature and high-level their faith was.

We sometimes pray to God that if God help me, I will commit myself. I pray that if God bless me, if God heals me, if God hears my prayers, I will do something.

But if you look at verse 18... … . Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego say: "O king! God will deliver us from the furnace or from the king's hand. But even if he does not! We cannot bow down to the idols you have set up." If you die, you are dead, you cannot betray God, and if you die, you are dead, but you cannot bow down to idols and abandon your faith.

everyone! If your faith in God is at this level, even God cannot stand by. If such a person dies, the glory of God will be covered, and it will cause too much damage to God.

Our faith should also be this kind of faith. It's not because God responded to me, but I should be grateful for God's existence itself, and I should be able to rejoice and praise God's grace on the cross. Sometimes, whether or not you respond to me, you must acknowledge God's sovereignty and have absolute faith to serve and love God.

D) Lastly, what are the three results of this faith?

1) First, they were thrown into the fiery furnace but were saved (vv. 19-27).

In the text, let alone not being put into the furnace, they were thrown into a furnace that was seven times hotter than normal. But God saved them from within. Not one of his hair was singed. Hallelujah! God has the ability to protect you and me in any situation and environment.

2) Second, God's name was exalted (v. 29). Although he was the king of the Gentiles who did not believe in God, Nebuchadnezzar declared in a clear tone that only Jehovah God was the true God. Not only that, but those who despise God have their bodies cut open and their houses made into a manure.

3) Thirdly, God raised their status even higher (v. 30).

Serving only God and rejecting idols seemed like a road to ruin, but it was a road to prosperity. “At last the king exalted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego even more in the province of Babylon.” Hallelujah! When you live with this clear resolution in the field of your life, God works in your life today. The Bible says that it is the way to success in life and the way to victory.

In this sense, crises are clearly an opportunity for new blessings. In times of chaos and crisis, I hope you live with a clear resolution of faith in the field of your life, like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Do your part well as light and salt.
