7. 여호와를 경외하는 것이 지식의 근본이거늘 미련한 자는 지혜와 훈계를 멸시하느니라  8.내 아들아 네 아비의 훈계를 들으며 네 어미의 법을 떠나지 말라

9.이는 네 머리의 아름다운 관이요 네 목의 금 사슬이니라 10.내 아들아 악한 자가 너를 꾈지라도 따르지 말라

 

서론)

오늘 본문 성경말씀에서 언급하신 ‘지식’이란 말의 의미를 찾아보면… (Knowledge /

知識 )=인식(사물이나 사건에 대하여 판단하여 아는 것) 또한 비슷한 의미로 쓰이며 한국어의 고유어로는 '앎'이라고 한다.(참조:나무위키)-라고 했습니다. 지식의 범위는 사실 광범위합니다. 그런데 그런 숱한 지식 중 가장 중요한 지식이 오늘 본문에 나와 있습니다.  

오늘 말씀은 다윗왕의 아들, 솔로몬 왕이 기록한 잠언서의 서문입니다. 잠언이란 말의 뜻은 영어로는 proverbs입니다. 이는 라틴어  pro(... 대신)과 verba(말들)이라는 두 개의 합하여 져서 만들어진 말이며, 그것이 영어로 그대로 사용되고 있습니다.  따라서 잠언이란 “많은 말을 대신하여“라는 뜻의 단어가 됩니다. 즉, 잠언은 지혜로운 원리들을 요약한 짧은 서술들 입니다. 

 

한편 잠언으로 번역된 ‘히브리 단어 원문’은 “비교” 라는 뜻의 단어가 씌었습니다. 앞으로 살펴보겠지만 솔로몬의 잠언들은 비교와 대조로 이루어져 있어요. 대부분의 동양 사람들처럼 유대인들은 잠언을 통하여 많은 것을 교훈하였습니다. 이 짧고 “흥미 있는 “문장들은 암기하 기에 쉬운 특징도 있습니다.

고로 잠언서는 “사람이 살아가는데 가장 기본이 되는 지식을 주어서 무지를 깨우칠 목적으로 쓰인 책”입니다. 잠언서는 인간에게 마땅히 알 것을 알려주려고 쓰신 책입니다. 그래서 본문을 보면 “하나님을 아는 것이 모든 지식의 근본”이라고 말씀하고 있습니다. 인간은 하나님을 알고 사는 것이 기본이 되는 삶입니다.

사람이 이 세상에서 발견한 것 가운데 가장 신비하고 놀라운 발견은 하나님을 발견한 일입니다. 숱한 약점과 결함을 가진 인간이 하나님을 발견하고 그 하나님을 믿고 뜻을 따라 살아가는 것이 가장 큰 발견입니다. 그래서 오늘 본문을 보면 “여호와를 경외하는 것이 지식의 근본”이라고 했습니다. 마 22:34절을 보면 “네 마음을 다하고 성품을 다하고 뜻을 다하여 하나님을 사랑하라”고 했습니다. (하나님을 발견하고 그 하나님을 사랑하는 일이 인간에게 주어진 가장 소중한 일입니다. 사람이 이렇게 하나님을 발견하고 인간의 도리와 도덕적 윤리에 눈을 뜨게 됩니다. 그때 사람은 3 가지 눈을 뜨게 됩니다. 오늘은 이 부분에 대해 공부해 봅니다)

본론)
가)먼저는 “자신을 보는 눈” 이 뜨입니다.

사람은 하나님을 발견하고 하나님을 깊이 알 때 비로소 자신을 발견하게 됩니다. 그때 나의

값, 또는 가치를 알게 되고 자신의 존재를 알게 됩니다. 그래서 나의 소중함을 알고 나를

온전히 사랑하게 됩니다. 그리고 자신을 사랑한다는 말은 자신에게 주어진 사명이나 하나님의 뜻이나 자신이 할 일이 무엇인지도 안다는 뜻입니다. 

여러분, 여러분에게 주어진 생명의 가격, 혹은 값은 얼마입니까? 예수님 말씀처럼 천하보다 더 비쌉니다. ‘나’라는 존재는 참 소중한 존재임을 알면, 그 사람은 품위를 지키고 절제하는 삶을 살아가게 됩니다. 자신을 모르기 때문에 스스로를 비하하고 멸시하고 업신여기고 건강에 해로운 것들을 마시거나 먹게 됩니다. 우리가 잘 생겼건 못 생겼건 빈부귀천과 무관하게 우리는 보모님의 사랑 속에서 최소한 3억에서 4억의 경쟁(아기씨와의)을 뚫고 태어난 존재들입니다. 그리고 이 세상의 수많은 인류 중에서 유일한 작품이요 유일한 지문을 가지고 태어났습니다. 그 누구도 나를 대신할 순 없습니다.

 

자신이 못 나고 가진 것이 없다며 절망하기도 하지만 사실은 자부심과 자랑거리가 더 많은 것이 저와 여러분입니다. 우리는 최소한 이 세상 6,70억 되는 인구 가운데 오직 하나뿐인 하나님이 만드신 걸작품입니다. 얼마나 소중한 선물입니까? 그런 나를 감사로 여기지 못하고 구박하고 업신여기고 비관하는 것은 마땅히 큰 죄입니다. 아직 나를 잘 알지 못하는 것입니다. 고로 나는 반드시 내가 먼저 극진히 사랑해야 합니다.

미국에 ‘데미 무어’라는 여배우가 있습니다. 그 여배우가 얼마나 아름다웠습니까? 그런데도 그는 자신의 미모에 대해서 불만이 많았습니다. 그래서 전신 성형수술을 했는데 그 비용이 무려 5억원(약 40만 달러)이나 들었다고 합니다. 그 결과 전보다 더 나은 삶을 살고 있나요? 아니죠. 전보다 못합니다.

 

또 ‘마이클 잭슨’이란 가수가 있었습니다. 얼마나 귀엽고 깜찍하였 습니까? 그러나 외모에 만족하지 못하고 숱한 수술과 약물에 의존하여 결국 안타까운 죽음을 맞이했습니다.  범사에 감사해야 합니다. 태어나면서 기형이나 좀 특이한 외모 때문에 약간의 수술 이 필요한 사람도 있긴 합니다. 그러나 누가 봐도 예쁘고 잘생긴 사람들이 몸에 칼을 대는 것은 결코 권장할 일이 전혀 못됩니다.  

또 살기가 어렵다고 아이들을 데리고 동반자살하는 분들이 가끔 있습니다. 정말 살기가 어려우 면 아이들을 고아원에 잠시 맡겨 두고서라도 일터에 나가면 얼마든지 살아갈 수 있지 않나요? 이런 분들의 자살은 아직 자신과 자녀들의 생명의 가치를 제대로 알고 있지 못한 까닭입니다. 죽을 결심이면 차라리 사는 낫다는 말이 바로 그런 의미입니다.

 

 하나님께서는 각자에게 분량대로 은사와 재능을 주셨습니다. 그것을 잘 사용할 때 기쁘고, 즐겁고, 행복함이 주어집니다. 그래서 은사대로 일하면 밤을 새워 일해도 피곤하지 않고 힘들어도 만족함을 얻습니다. 나란 존재는 나의 몫이 이 세상에 있고 값이 있고 은사가 있는 하나님의 자녀입니다(인간을 창조하신 후, 하나님 보시기에 보기에 심히 좋았더라!라고 하심 (창1:31= And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day-라고 하심). 사람이 마땅 히 우리의 창조자 하나님을 알게 되면 이렇게 나 자신을 보는 눈이 뜨이게 됩니다. 그리고 나의 뿌리와 미래와 행복의 비결까지 알 수가 있습니다.

나)두 번째는 “이웃을 아는 눈”이 뜨입니다.
사람이 하나님을 알게 되면 자신을 보는 눈만 뜨이는 것이 아니고 동시에 이웃을 보는 눈도 뜨이게 (생기게)됩니다.  사람이 하나님을 알고 사랑하게 되면, 나의 값도 알게 되지만 동시에 이웃의 값도 알게 됩니다. 그래서 내가 그들도 사랑하게 됩니다. 내가 하나님을 사랑하게 되면 내가 하나님의 뜻을 알게 되는데 그 하나님의 뜻은 내가 너를 사랑하는 일입니다. 사람이 하나님을 모르면 내가 우선이고 내가 목적이 되어 살아가게 됩니다.

 오늘날의 시대를 이기주의적인 시대-라고 합니다. 이기주의는 결국 나 자신을 불행하게 하는 삶이요 이웃을 불행하게 하는 삶이며 사회를 불행하게 만듭니다. 그리고 하나님의 뜻을 무시하 는 삶입니다. 푸틴이 전쟁을 일으킨 것도 이기주의입니다. 사실 러시아 사람들 모두가 전쟁을 하길 원치 않습니다. 그래서 푸틴의 징집 명령을 거부하고자 다른 나라로 도망간 러시아 청년 들도 부지기수입니다. 사람들은 오늘을 가리켜서 ‘단절의 시대’라고 말하기도 합니다. 생각이 단절되고 이식이 단절되고 문화가 단절된 채 살아가고 있습니다.
 
 요즘엔 한국엔X 세대란 말이 있습니다. X세대는 70년대에 태어나서 90년대에 대학을 공부한 세대라고 해요. 이 세대의 특징은 높은 소비성향과 자유분방한 가치관이 특징입니다. 그리고 다음은 N세대입니다. N세대는 80년대에 태어나서 2천 년대에 공부한 사람입니다. 이 사람들은 인터넷과 컴퓨터에 능하고 휴대전화에 익숙한 세대입니다. 

그런데 요즘에 P세대라는 용어가 새로 생겼습니다. 사회생활에 적극적으로 참여하고 열정이 있고 소비문화에 익숙하고 변화를 일으키는 세대인 17세에서 39세 까지의 층을 말합니다. 이 세대의 특징은 자신에 대해서는 집착하지만 남을 생각하는 성향이 아주 약하다고 해요. 현대사회는 앞으로도 “남를 생각하는 성향”이 점점 더 약화될 것이라 합니다.

 

내가 남을 생각하고 살아가는 것은 남들의 행복만을 위한 것이 아닙니다. 남이 행복해야 결국 그것이 나의 행복으로 연결됩니다. 인류 문명은 모두 너를 생각하는 과정에서 발전되어 왔습니 다.
  오늘날 각종 질병에 유효하게 사용되는 모든 약품의 개발도 알고 보면 인류문명에 기여하겠 다는 생각에서 개발되고 만들어진 것 들이 대부분입니다(페니실린, 각종 항암제, 고혈압약, 당뇨약 , 각종 백신 등). 그 발명이 결국 인류에게 공헌이 되면서 연구자들도 행복했습니다.

 

1564년 영국 보로메일 지방에 폭풍이 몰아치면서 거목들이 넘어졌습니다. 그때 넘어진 거목의 뿌리에서 흑연이 발견되었습니다. 박물학자 ‘콘라드 폰 게스너’라는 분이 그 흑연을 보고 이것으로 유익하게 사용하는 방법이 없을까 연구했습니다. 그러다 그 ‘흑연’을 나무에 끼워 글씨를 써보았어요. 그것이 인류 최초로 ‘연필’을 사용하게 되는 시초가 되었습니다. 그리고 그것을 사람들에게 나누어 줘서 사용하게 했습니다. 얼마나 고마운 발명입니까! 

그러다 조금 더 발전해서 처음엔 4각형으로 연필을 만들어 사용해 봤습니다. 그러다 보니까 손이 매우 불편했죠. 그래서 이번에는 원통형으로 만들어 사용해보니 책상에서 잘 굴러 떨어져 서 불편해요. 그래서 마침내 연필을 6각형으로 만들어 놓으니까 집기도 쉽고 구르지도 않아서 좋게 되었습니다. 그리고 그 연필을 미국의 화가 ‘리프먼’이 사용하다가 글씨가 틀려 지울 때 지우개를 찾아다니다 보니까 이 또한 불편함이 많았습니다. 그래서 연필 끝에 ‘지우개’ 를 달아 사용합니다. 오늘날 지우개 달린 연필이 그래서 발명된 것입니다. 사람은 그렇게 내가 너를 생각하면 하나님이 많은 아이디어와 지혜를 주십니다.

한번은 한국의 어느 목사님이 미국 교회를 방문하며 느낀 것이 있다고 했습니다. 당시 미국에 살고 있는 교포들이 한창 여름휴가 계획을 세우고 있었답니다. 그리고 대부분의 교우들이 여름휴가를 선교지 방문으로 계획하고 있었답니다. 학생들도 그동안 모은 용돈으로 선교지를 찾아가는 계획을 짜고 있었는데, 그런 계획을 짜고 있는 그들의 모습이 아주 행복해 보였답 니다. 사실 선교지에 가 보면 참 피곤한 일이 많아요. 불편한 잠자리와 해충, 더운 날씨 등으로 죽도록 고생만 하기 일쑤입니다. 그래도 그 길을 스스로 찾아가려고 준비 중이었답니다. 그것이 하나님을 사랑하는 일이고 나를 사랑하는 일이고 너를 사랑하는 일이었기 때문이죠. 그 선교여행 기간 동안에는 직장도 쉬고 사업도 쉬고 가게도 문도 닫아야 합니다. 그것은 결코 쉬운 일이 아니죠. 그럼에도 그 일을 아주 기쁘고 행복한 마음으로 준비하였답니다. 이런 것이 이웃을 생각하고 다른 영혼을 사랑하는 마음이 있어야 가능한 일입니다.

어느 신문의 보도에 의하면, 오늘날 미국인들 전 국민의 31%가 자원봉사를 하고 있다고 했습니다. 그 자원봉사를 품삯으로 계산하면 1,500억 달러나 된다고 합니다. 이 금액이 얼마나 되는가하면 , 대한민국의 일년 예산에 1.5배라고 합니다. 오늘날 미국인들의 신앙이 많이 약화된 것은 사실이지만, 그래도 미국인들은 이런 강력한 힘을 아직도 가지고 있습니다. 그래서 요즘도 세계 최강의 나라라는 명성을 유지하는 것이 아닌가 합니다.

다)세 번째는 “하나님을 전하는 눈” 을 뜨이게 됩니다.
내가 하나님을 알게 되면, 내가 만난 하나님을 어떻게 후대에 알릴 것인가 하는 눈도 뜨게 됩니다. 신 6:5절을 보면 “너는 마음을 다하고 뜻을 다하고 힘을 다하여 네 하나님을 사랑 하라, 그리고 하나님을 네 자녀에게 부지런히 가르치라”고 했습니다. 내가 하나님을 아는 일만으로는 다가 아닙니다. 내가 정말 하나님을 깊이 알았다면 그 하나님을 알려야 한다는 새로운 눈을 뜨게 될 것입니다. 이것이 하나님을 아는 지식의 힘이고 능력입니다.

미국 아주사 퍼시픽 대학(미국 캘리포니아주 아주사 (Azusa) 소재의 개신교 복음주의 사립대 학) 에는 기도의 탑이 학교건물 중앙에 높이 세워져 있다고 합니다. 그 탑 맨 위에 개인 기도실 을 많이 만들어져 있어서 어느 학생이 거기서 기도하면 꼭대기 종탑에 불이 켜지게 되어 있다 고 합니다. 그 꼭대기에 불이 꺼지지 않게 하는 것이 아주사 대학교의 정신이요, 그 학교를 졸업한 수많은 학생들에게 장차 하나님을 알려주게 하는 것이 그 학교의 정신이라 했습니다.

결론)

오늘의 성경 말씀은 “여호와를 경외하는 것이 지식의 근본이어늘 미련한 자는 지혜와 훈계를 멸시하느니라.”라고 했습니다. 우리가 하나님을 깊이 알면 나 자신을 보는 눈을 뜨게 됩니다. 그리고 너를 보는 눈도 뜨이게 됩니다. 그리고 그 하나님을 알리려는 눈도 뜨이게 됩니다. 그렇게 살아가는 것이 오늘날 우리의 삶의 특징이어야 하고, 목적이어야 합니다. 할렐루야!

Today's message is the preface to the book of Proverbs written by King Solomon, the son of King David. The meaning of the word proverbs is proverbs in English. It is a combination of the two Latin words pro (instead of...) and verba (words), and it is used as it is in English. Thus, Proverbs becomes a word meaning “in place of many words.” In other words, Proverbs are short statements that summarize wise principles.

 

On the other hand, the 'Original Hebrew word' translated into Proverbs has a word that means "comparison." As we will see, Solomon's proverbs are made up of comparisons and contrasts. Like most peoples of the East, the Jews learned much through the book of Proverbs. These short, “interesting” sentences are also easy to memorize.

Therefore, the book of Proverbs is “a book written for the purpose of enlightening ignorance by giving people the most basic knowledge to live.” The book of Proverbs was written to tell people what they should know. So, if you look at the text, it says, “Knowing God is the beginning of all knowledge.” Human beings know God and live is the basic life.

 

One of the most mysterious and surprising discoveries that man has made in this world is the discovery of God. The greatest discovery is for human beings with countless weaknesses and flaws to discover God, believe in God, and live according to His will. So, in today's text, it says, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge." Matthew 22:34 says, "Love God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind." (Discovering God and loving God is the most precious thing given to human beings. When people discover God in this way, they open their eyes to human principles and moral ethics. There was also a singer named ‘Michael Jackson’. How cute and adorable was she? However, she was dissatisfied with her appearance and resorted to numerous surgeries and medications, eventually leading to a sad death. You should be thankful for everything. Some people may need minor surgery because of birth defects or unusual appearance. However, it is not at all recommended for pretty and handsome people to put a knife on their body.

 

There are also people who take their children and commit suicide together because it is difficult to live. If it's really difficult to live, can't you live as long as you go to work even if you leave your children in an orphanage for a while? Such people commit suicide because they do not yet properly understand the value of their lives and their children's lives. That is the meaning of the saying that if you decide to die, it is better to live.

 

  God has given each of us gifts and talents according to our measure. When you use it well, joy, joy, and happiness are given. So, if you work according to your gifts, you will not be tired even if you work all night, and you will be satisfied even if you are tired. B) The second ,“the eyes to know your neighbors” is open.

When a person comes to know God, he not only opens his eyes to see himself, but at the same time his eyes to see his neighbors are also opened (created). When people come to know and love God, they come to know their value as well as the value of their neighbors. So I will love them too. When I love God, I know God's will, and that God's will is that I love you. If people don't know God, I'll be first and I'll be the purpose.

 

  Today's era is called the era of selfishness. Selfishness is, in the end, a life that makes oneself unhappy, a life that makes neighbors unhappy, and makes society unhappy. And it is a life that ignores God's will. It is also egoism that Putin has unleashed a war on. In fact, not all Russians want war. So many young Russians have fled to other countries to defy Putin's conscription order. People sometimes refer to today as the ‘era of disconnection’. We are living with disconnected thoughts, disconnected transplants, and disconnected cultures.

The characteristic of this generation is that they are obsessed with themselves but have a very weak tendency to think of others. In modern society, it is said that the “propensity to think of others” will gradually weaken.

 

Thinking of others and living is not only for the happiness of others. When others are happy, that eventually leads to my own happiness. All of human civilization has developed in the process of thinking of you.

   If you know the development of all medicines that are effectively used for various diseases today, most of them were developed and made with the thought of contributing to human civilization (penicillin, various anticancer drugs, antihypertensive drugs, diabetes drugs, various vaccines, etc.). Researchers were happy as the invention eventually contributed to mankind.

 

In 1564, a storm raged in Borromale, England, and the giant trees fell. Then, graphite was found in the roots of the fallen giant tree. And when the American painter 'Liefman' used that pencil, he had to look for an eraser when he erased a mistake, so this was also very inconvenient. So, I use an ‘eraser’ attached to the tip of a pencil. That's why today's pencil with an eraser was invented. When I think of you like that, God gives me many ideas and wisdom.

 

Once, a Korean pastor said that he felt something while visiting an American church. At that time, Koreans living in the United States were in the midst of planning their summer vacation. And most of the church members were planning to visit the mission field for their summer vacation. The students were also making a plan to visit the mission field with the pocket money they had saved so far, and they seemed very happy to see them making such a plan. In fact, when I go to the mission field, I am very tired. Inconvenient beds, pests, hot weather, etc., they suffer only to die. Still, I was preparing to find the path myself. Because that was loving God, loving me, and loving you. During that missionary trip, you have to take a break from work, business, and shops. It's never easy. Even so, I prepared for the work with a very happy and happy heart. This is possible only when we have a heart that thinks of our neighbors and loves other souls.

 

According to a newspaper report, today 31% of all Americans are volunteering. If you calculate that volunteer work as wages, it is said to be worth 150 billion dollars. If you ask how much this amount is, it is said to be 1.5 times the annual budget of the Republic of Korea. It is true that the faith of Americans today is much weakened, but Americans still have this powerful force. That's why it seems that it is maintaining its reputation as the world's strongest country these days.

 

C) The third ,“the eyes to reach out of God.” is open.

When I come to know God, my eyes will be opened as to how to let the next generation know about the God I have met. Deuteronomy 6:5 says, “Love your God with all your heart, mind, and strength, and teach God diligently to your children.” Knowing God is not enough. If I really knew God deeply, I would open my new eyes to know God. This is the power and ability of knowing God.

 

At Azusa Pacific University (a private Protestant evangelical university located in Azusa, California, USA), a tower of prayer is said to be erected high in the center of the school building. There are many private prayer rooms at the top of the tower, and when a student prays there, the bell tower at the top turns on the light.
