서론)
여러분, 만약 이 시간 누군가가 여러분에게 “너는 누구냐?” “당신은 누구입니까?”라고 질문한다면 여러분은 무엇이라고 대답하겠습니까? “너희는 누구냐?” 이 질문은 거창하게 말하면 자기 정체성(identity)과 관련된 질문이지요. 그런데 사실 이런 질문에 선뜻 쉽게 대답하는 사람이 그렇게 많은 것 같지는 않습니다. 아주 쉬운 질문인데도, 막상 우리는 이런 질문을 받으면 뭐라고 대답해야 할지를 몰라 당황하는 경우가 많습니다.
  

유명한 철학가 소크라테스가 “너 자신을 알라”는 유명한 말을 하기도 했지만, 우리는 사실 내가 누구인지를, 나의 정체성을 잘 모르거나 헷갈리며 지내는 경우가 많습니다. 어떻습니까? 오늘 우리들은 내가 누구인지 바로 알고 있습니까? 아니면 잊었거나 헷갈리며 살고 있습니까? 이러 질문을 가지고 오늘 말씀을 나누도록 하겠습니다.
본론)

가) 본문의 배경
여기 오늘 우리에게 주신 성경 말씀에도 “너희는 누구냐?”라는 질문 앞에 그 대답을 못한 체 당황해하는 사람들을 볼 수 있습니다.  그들은 바로 ‘스게와’라는 유대인 제사장의 일곱 아들들입니다. 오늘 본문 사도행전 19장은 사도 바울이 에베소에서 교회를 개척하고 하나님의 말씀을 가르치며, 또한 여러 가지 이적과 기사를 일으킨 사역을 소개합니다.

바울은 에베소에서 사역을 하는 동안 성령의 충만함에 힘입어 세 가지 중요한 사역을 했습니다.

 1)제일 먼저 바울은 주의 제자들과 함께 회당에 들어가 담대하게 하나님 나라에 대하여 강론하며, 복음을 전했습니다. 특별히 두란노 서원을 세워서 그곳에서 제자들을 무려 2년 동안 하나님의 말씀으로 가르쳤습니다.    그리고 2)두번째로 성령의 능력에 사로잡혀, 여러 가지 놀라운 은사들이 나타나게 되었는데, 그것은 바로 치유의 능력이었습니다. 오늘 본문은 기록하기를 “희한한(놀라운) 능력”(11절)이라고 했습니다. 또 12절에서는 “심지어 사람들이 바울의 몸에서 손수건이나 앞치마를 가져다가 병든 사람에게 얹으면 그 병이 떠나갔다”(11-12절)고 했어요. 정말로 그를 통하여 나타난 하나님의 능력은 너무나 충격적이고 신비하기 그지없었습니다. 3)세번째로 바울은 귀신을 좇아 내는 축귀사역(Exorcism)을 했습니다. 바울의 손수건이나 앞치마를 가져다가 병든 사람들에게 얹으면 병이 나을 뿐만 아니라, 악한 귀신들도 떠나갔습니다(12절).

 그 당시 에베소를 중심한 투루키예 지역에는 우상을 숭배하는 신전들이 많않습니다. 특별히 에베소에는 아데미 신전을 중심으로 많은 우상들이 세워져 있었는데, 자연히 에베소에는 마술을 하는 사람들, 주술가들, 그리고 무당들(Exorcist)들도 많았어요. 그래서 바울은 에베소에서 복음을 전할 때에 이런 모든 종류의 악한 세력들과 능력대결(power encounter)을 해야 했습니다.    

 

바울은 (엡 6:12)에서“우리의 씨름은 혈과 육에 대한 것이 아니요, 정사와 권세와 세상 주관자들과 하늘에 있는 악의 영들에게 대함이라”고 했으니, 이처럼 바울은 치열한 영적인 전쟁이 있었던 곳이 에베소였습니다.
  
그런데 마술사들 가운데 바울의 사역을 눈 여겨 본 이들이 있었습니다. 그들이 보니까, 바울이 병도 낫게 하고, 귀신도 쫓아내는데, 그들이 보기에 아주 놀랍고 희한합니다. 그래서 그들은 바울의 사역을 유심히 지켜 본 결과,  “나사렛 예수의 이름으로 명하노니, 귀신아! 나가라”고 외치는 바울의 주문에 악귀들이 도망간다고 판단했습니다. 그래서 그들은 바울의 흉내를 내기 시작했습니다.

그런 마술사들 중 ‘스게와 ‘라는 유대 제사장의 일곱 아들들이 있었는데, 그들도 바울을 흉내를 냈습니다. 그런데 이게 웬일입니까? 귀신이 나가기는커녕 오히려 이렇게 반격을 하는 것이었습니다. “악귀가 대답하여 가로되 예수도 내가 알고, 바울도 내가 알거니와 너희는 누구냐?”(15절) 그리고 공격을 가해 왔다고 했습니다. 스게와의 아들들을 쓰러뜨리거나 몸이 굳게 하거나 말을 못하게 하거나 이상한 말을 하게 하는 등 여러 방법이 있었겠지요.  

결국 스게와의 아들들은 당황한 나머지 별의별 소리와 비명을 지르며 도망을 쳐야 햇습니다. 얼마나 놀랐는지 입고 있던 값비싼 겉옷들마저 내던지고 ‘다리야 날 살려라’ 하고 도망을 가 버렸습니다.  

    
나)이런 창피를 당한 이유
  그러면 무엇이 잘못된 걸까요? 우리는 여기서 아주 중요한 한 가지 교훈을 발견해야 합니다. 즉 성도들은 하나님과의 관계, 예수님과의 관계가 바로 서 있어야 한다는 사실입니다.
스게와의 아들들은 비록 제사장의 아들들이었지만, 그들은 하나님을 바로 섬기지 않았고,  예수님를 바로  영접하지도 않았습니다. 하나님과도 예수님과도 제대로 된 관계가 없는 사람들이었습니다. 한 마디로 경건의 모양은 있었는지 모르나, 경건의 능력은 전혀 없는 사람들이었습니다.
  
그러면 바울의 놀라운 능력은 도대체 어디서 온 것입니까? 그것은 사실 바울 자신의 능력이 아니라 하나님께서 바울에게 주신 능력 때문이었습니다. 11절=”하나님이 바울의 손으로 놀라운 능력을 행하게 하시니”,…라고 했죠? 하나님께서 그렇게 하신 것입니다. 바울은 하나님의 일군이었습니다. 오늘날엔 이런 능력은 우리를 위하여 고난 당하시고, 십자가에 달려 죽으시고, 사흘 만에 부활하신 그리스도와의 주종  관계, 동역자 관계, 혹은 형제적 관계가 있어야만 발휘가 가능합니다. 그런 관계 속에 들어가야 바로 그 관계에서 놀라운 능력이 나오는 것입니다.     그러나 스게와의 아들들은 착각했습니다. 그들은 주님과의 관계는 상관없이 그저 예수님의 이름만을 주술적으로 모조건 외치면 되는 줄로 알았습니다. 고로 악귀들에게 창피를 당했어요.
  악귀들이 “너희는 누구냐?”라고 물었을 때, 적어도 그들은 다른 것은 다 몰라도, 예수님과 그리고 바울과의 관계만은 분명히 설명할 수 있어야 했습니다.
“예수님은 나의 주님이시다. 예수님은 나를 위하여 십자가에서 목숨까지 내어 놓으신 나의 하나님의 아들이시요 길이요 진리요 생명이시다. 그리고 바울은 그 예수님의 사도요, 우리의 동역자이다.”라고 말이지요.  그러나 그들은 예수님과도 바울과도 밥 한번 같이 먹은 적 없고 그 이름들 때문에 고난 한번 당한 적 없는 전혀 무관한 자들이었습니다.    

참 안타까운 것은, 인류 역사를 통하여 사람들은 끊임없이 예수님의 정체성에 대해서, 예수님의 하나님 되심에 대해서 믿지 못하고 부정하며 의심을 해 왔습니다. 그런데 희안하게도, 오히려 귀신들은 예수님의 정체에 대해서 그 어떤 의심도 하지 않았습니다. 귀신들과 악한 영들은 오히려 예수님이 “하나님의 거룩한 분”이라는 것을 알고 있었고(눅 4:34), 그 분 앞에서 두려워 떨었습니다. 우리가 복음서의 기록을 보면 여러 곳에서, 오히려 귀신들은 예수님이 누구신지를 알고 고백하고 있는 것을 보게 됩니다.
  
예를 들어 눅 4장 31-37절에 보면 예수님께서 갈릴리 가버나움에서 사역을 하실 때에, 한 더러운 귀신이 예수님을 보고는 “나사렛 예수여, 우리가 당신과 무슨 상관이 있나이까? 우리를 멸하러 왔나이까? 나는 당신이 누구인 줄 아노니, 하나님의 거룩한 자니이다”(눅 4:34)라고 소리를 지르는 것을 볼 수 있습니다. 귀신들은 예수님을 보자마자 그 분이 누구인 줄 알았습니다.  또한 막 5장 1-20절에도 보면 군대 귀신이 들어 고생을 하던 사람을 고쳐 주시는 예수님의 모습을 볼 수 있습니다. 야고보는 약 2장 19절에서 “네가 하나님은 한 분 이신 줄을 믿느냐 잘하는도다. 귀신들도 믿고 떠느니라”(약 2:19)고 했습니다. 귀신들과 악한 영들은 예수님이 누구신지 귀신같이? 정확하게 알고 있었습니다. 우리도 예수를 정확히 알아야 합니다.
  
다)그럼 나는 누구인가?
  사랑하는 성도 여러분, 그렇다면 이제 우리는 어떻습니까? 오늘 저와 여러분은 예수님과 어떤 관계입니까? 혹시 오늘 우리의 모습이, 이 스게와의 아들들과도 같은 모습은 아닙니까? 겉으로는 제사장의 아들들이요, 그래서 하나님을 아는 것 같고, 예수님과 관계가 있는 사람들인 것처럼  보이지만, 교회에 출석하는 교인인 것처럼 보이지만, 어떤 분은 나는 태신자(모태신앙)예요 어머니 뱃속에서부터 믿었어요 라고 하지만, 혹시 여러분의 속사람은 오히려 주님과 별로 상관 없고 하나님과도 별 관계가 없지는 않습니까?
  
성도된 우리의 참된 신분은 무엇입니까? 그것은 바로 우리는 하나님의 놀라우신 사랑을 받는 자들이라는 사실입니다. 물론 우리는 과거엔 죄인들이었습니다. 하나님과 원수 된 자들이요 경건치 않은 자들이었습니다. 우리는 죄로 말미암아 죽어 지옥 갈 진노의 자식들이었습니다.  그러나 하나님께서는 그런 우리들을 불쌍히 여기시사, 우리를 살리시려고 당신의 외아들을 이 땅에 보내셨습니다. 그리고 예수님께서 우리의 모든 죄를 짊어지시고 십자가에 달려 죽게 하심으로, 우리의 모든 죄를 용서하시고, 우리를 하나님께서 가장 사랑하는 그의 자녀로 삼아 주셨습니다. 믿음으로 하나님 자녀가 되었습니다.
 

 예수님께서는 저와 여러분을 너무나 사랑하셔서, 십자가에서 그 귀한 피와 물 한 방울까지 다 쏟으셨습니다.  그래서 요한은 하나님의 이 사랑을 이렇게 설명합니다.
    (요일 4:9-10)=“하나님의 사랑이 우리에게 이렇게 나타난 바 되었으니, 하나님이 자기 독생자를 세상에 보내심은 그로 말미암아 우리를 살리려 하심이라. 사랑은 여기 있으니 우리가 하나님을 사랑한 것이 아니요, 하나님이 우리를 사랑하사, 우리 죄를 속하기 위하여 화목 제물로 그 아들을 보내셨음이라”고 했습니다.
  

선지자 이사야도 하나님의 사랑을 이렇게 설명합니다.(이사야 49:14-16)=“오직 시온이 이르기를 여호와께서 나를 버리시며, 주께서 나를 잊으셨다 하였거니와, 여인이 어찌 그 젖 먹는 자식을 잊겠으며, 자기 태에서 난 아들을 긍휼히 여기지 않겠느냐? 그들은 혹시 잊을지라도, 나는 너를 잊지 아니할 것이라. 내가 너를 내 손바닥에 새겼고, 너의 성벽이 항상 내 앞에 있나니” 라고 하십니다.

예화)1995년 성탄절이 가까운 때에 아르메니아 지역에서 커다란 지진이 일어났었습니다. . 그 때에 그 엄청난 지진 때문에 무려 55,000명이 희생되고 말았습니다. 그 때에 한 어머니와 딸이 무너진 건물더미에 함께 갇히고 말았습니다. 그 어머니의 이름은 수산나였고, 딸의 이름은 구이안(Guian)이었습니다.

지진이 일어난 후, 몇 시간이 지났을까? 조금도 움직일 수 없는 공간에 갇혀 있는 모녀의 몸은 점점 차갑게 식어가고 있었습니다. 그리고 언제나 구조의 손길이 임할지 알 수 없는 상황 속에서, 어린 딸은 무서워서 자꾸 울기 시작했습니다. “엄마, 무서워! 엄마, 우리 여기서 못 나가는 거야?”“아니야, 걱정하지 마라. 조금만 기다리면 아저씨들이 우리를 금방 찾으러 올 거야”, “만일에 아저씨들이 우리를 찾지 못하면 어떻게? 엄마, 그러면 우리 여기서 못 나가는 거야? 우리 여기서 죽는 거야?”무서워 떨고 있는 딸을 향하여 엄마는 계속해서 우리는 괜찮을 것이라고 위로하였습니다.

 

그러나 어두워 아무것도 볼 수 없는 공간에서 그들이 애타게 기다리던 구조의 손길은 닿지 않은 채, 사흘이 지났습니다. 그리고 마침내 아이는 공포와 허기에 지쳐 점점 그 힘을 잃어갔고 목이 마른 아이는 엄마에게 계속해서 먹을 것과 물을 달라고 울면서 보챘습니다.
그들의 그 생명의 불꽃이 가물가물 사라져 가고 있었을 겁니다. 그런데, 어머니의 손에 무엇인가 예리한 것이 잡혔습니다. 그것은 건물이 무너질 때 쏟아진 유리 조각이었습니다. 그리고 이 엄마는 그 유리조각으로 자신의 팔뚝을 그었습니다. 그리고는 아이에게 자신의 피를 마시게 했습니다. 그리고 또 시간이 흘러 마침내 구조대가 이 두 모녀가 갇혀 있는 곳을 지나다가, 아이의 울음소리를 듣고, 건물 더미들을 치웠습니다. 구조대가 건물 더미들을 다 치우자, 거기에는 비교적 건강한 모습을 한 여자아이가 울고 있었습니다. 그리고 그 아이의 옆에는 모든 물과 피를 다 흘려, 싸늘한 시체가 되어 있는 엄마가 평화스러운 모습으로 누워있었습니다.

  여러분, 이것이 어머니의 희생적인 사랑의 모습입니다. 그런데 이사야 선지자의 말씀은, 세상에 자식에 대한 가장 진한 사랑이 어머니의 사랑인데, 그 어머니의 사랑보다도 비교할 수 없을 정도로 더 진하고 큰 사랑이 하나님 사랑이다-라고 했습니다.

 

또 스바냐 선지자는 이렇게 노래했습니다.   “너의 하나님 여호와가 너의 가운데에 계시니, 그는 구원을 베푸실 전능자이시라. 그가 너로 말미암아 기쁨을 이기지 못하시며, 너를 잠잠히 사랑하시며, 너로 말미암아 즐거이 부르며 기뻐하시리라”(습 3:17)할렐루야! 그렇습니다. 우리는 이 사실을 절대로 잊어서는 안 됩니다. 내가 누구인지? 나는 하나님의 놀라운 사랑을 받는 자라는 사실을 언제 어디서나 잊어서는 안 됩니다.

결론)
사랑하는 성도 여러분! 우리 모두 오늘 이 주님의 사랑을 다시 한번 깊이 깨달아야 합니다. 하나님께서는 오늘 우리에게, 나와 하나님의 관계, 나와 우리 주님과의 관계를 다시 한번 확인하라고 촉구하십니다. 그리고 “내가 너를 얼마나 사랑하는 줄 아느냐?”고 말씀하시고, 또 “너희는 주 예수의 음성을 들으라”고 말씀하십니다. 그리고 하나님께서는 사탄이든 누구든 “너는 누구냐?”고 우리에게 물을 때, “나는 놀라운 하나님의 사랑받는 자다. 예수님은 나의 주님이시고, 주님은 지금도 나를 끝까지 변함없이 사랑하신다. 그리고 나도 주님을 그렇게 사랑한다”라고 담대히 외칠 수 있으시길 바랍니다. 그리고 아직도 이 사랑을 깨닫지 못하여, 신음하며, 죄와 사망 가운데서 방황하고 헤매고 있는 자들을 향해 나아가 “하나님은 당신을 사랑하십니다. 정말로 끔찍이!”라고 더욱 외치는 저와 여러분 되시길 축원드립니다.

But Who are you? (Acts 19:11-17)

 

11 And God was doing extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul,

12 so that even handkerchiefs or aprons that had touched his skin were carried away to the sick, and their diseases left them and the evil spirits came out of them.

13 Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists undertook to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, "I adjure you by the Jesus whom Paul proclaims."

14 Seven sons of a Jewish high priest named Sceva were doing this.

15 But the evil spirit answered them, "Jesus I know, and Paul I recognize, but who are you?"

16 And the man in whom was the evil spirit leaped on them, mastered all of them and overpowered them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

17 And this became known to all the residents of Ephesus, both Jews and Greeks. And fear fell upon them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was extolled.

 

Introduction)

Folks, if someone asks you at this time, “Who are you?” If I were to ask, “Who are you?” what would you say? “Who are you?” This question, to put it grandiosely, is a question related to one's identity. But in fact, it seems that not many people readily answer these questions. Even though it is a very easy question, when we are asked this question, we are often perplexed because we do not know what to answer.

   Philosopher Socrates famously said, “Know thyself,” but in fact, there are many cases in which we do not know who we are or our identity, or are confused. How is it? Do we know who I am today? Or are you living in confusion? With these questions in mind, let's talk today.

 

Main subject)

A) Background of the text

Even in the words of the Bible given to us today, we can see people who are perplexed when they are faced with the question, “Who are you?” They are the seven sons of a Jewish priest named Sceva. Today's text, Acts 19, introduces the ministry of Apostle Paul planting a church in Ephesus, teaching the Word of God, and causing various signs and wonders.

During his ministry in Ephesus, Paul, empowered by the fullness of his Holy Spirit, did three important ministries. 1) First of all, Paul went into the synagogue with the disciples of the Lord and boldly argued about the kingdom of God and preached the gospel. He especially established the school of Tyrannus and taught his disciples the Word of God there for as many as two years. And 2) secondly, being captivated by the power of the Holy Spirit, various amazing gifts appeared, and that was the power of healing. Today's text said that it was recorded as “a rare (amazing) ability” (v. 11). Also, in verse 12, it says, “People even took handkerchiefs or aprons from Paul’s body and put them on the sick, and the disease left them” (vv. 11-12). Indeed, the power of God manifested through him was so shocking and mysterious. 3) Thirdly, Paul did the exorcism of casting out demons. When they took Paul's handkerchief or apron and put it on the sick, not only were they cured, but also the evil spirits left them (v. 12).

  At that time, there were not many temples worshiping idols in the Turukiye area centered on Ephesus. Especially in Ephesus, many idols were built around the temple of Artemis, and naturally there were many magicians, sorcerers, and exorcists in Ephesus. So, when Paul preached the gospel in Ephesus, he had to have a power encounter with all kinds of evil forces. (Ephesians 6:12) = "We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, rulers of the world, and evil spirits in the heavenly places."

 

However, among the magicians, there were those who paid close attention to Paul's ministry. When they saw that Paul was healing the sick and casting out demons, it was very surprising and strange to them. So, as a result of closely observing Paul's ministry, they said, "In the name of Jesus of Nazareth, I command you, demon! It was judged that the demons ran away at Paul’s order to shout, “Go out.” So they started imitating Paul.

Among those magicians, there were seven sons of a Jewish priest named Sceva, and they also imitated Paul. But what is this? Instead of going out, the demons counterattacked like this. “The demon answered and said, I know Jesus, and I know Paul, but who are you?” There must have been many ways, such as defeating the sons of Sceva, hardening them, making them unable to speak, or making them say strange things. Perhaps Sceva's sons were so panicked that they had to run away with all sorts of noises and screams. I was so surprised that I threw down even the expensive outerwear I was wearing and ran away, saying 'Oh, My Feet! save me'.

   

B) The reason for this embarrassment

   So what's wrong? We must discover one very important lesson here. In other words, it is true that the saints must have a right relationship with God and with Jesus.

Although the sons of Sceva were the sons of priests, they did not serve God rightly or accept Jesus right away. They were people who did not have a proper relationship with God or Jesus. In a word, they may have had the form of godliness, but they had no power of godliness at all.

 

Then, where did Paul's amazing ability come from? In fact, it was not because of Paul's own ability, but because of the ability that God gave to Paul. Verse 11says = “God worked wonderful miracles by Paul’s hands.”  That's what God did. Paul was a servant of God. This ability must have a master-servant relationship, a co-worker relationship, or a brotherly relationship with Christ, who suffered for us, was crucified, and rose again on the third day. Only when you enter into such a relationship can amazing abilities come out of that relationship. But the sons of Sceva were mistaken. They thought that regardless of their relationship with the Lord, they just had to shout the name of Jesus magically. Therefore, I was humiliated by the demons.

   When the demons asked, “Who are you?”, at least they should have been able to clearly explain the relationship between Jesus and Paul, without knowing anything else.

“Jesus is my Lord. Jesus is the Son of my God who gave his life on the cross for me. He is the way, the truth and the life. And Paul is the apostle of that Jesus and our co-worker.” However, they were completely unrelated to Jesus and Paul, who had never ate together and had never suffered because of their names.

 

What is really unfortunate is that throughout human history, people have constantly doubted and did not believe in the identity of Jesus and the fact that Jesus is God. Strangely, however, the demons did not have any doubt about the identity of Jesus. Rather, the demons and evil spirits knew that Jesus was “the Holy One of God” (Luke 4:34) and trembled in fear before Him. If we look at the records of the Gospels, in many places, rather, we see that the demons know who Jesus is and are confessing.

 

For example, in Luke 4:31-37, when Jesus was ministering in Capernaum in Galilee, an unclean spirit saw him and said, “What have we to do with you, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are, you are the Holy One of God” (Luke 4:34). As soon as the demons saw Jesus, they knew who He was. Also, in Mark 5:1-20, we can see Jesus healing a man suffering from an army of demons. In James 2:19, James says, “Do you believe that there is one God? Even the demons believe and tremble” (James 2:19). The demons and evil spirits knew exactly who Jesus was. We also need to know Jesus accurately.

 

C) Then…… who am I?

   Dear saints, what about us now? What is our relationship with Jesus today? Isn't our appearance today the same as the sons of this Sceva? Outwardly, they are the sons of priests, so they seem to know God, and they seem to have a relationship with Jesus, but they appear to be church members.

 

What is our true identity? It is the fact that we are those who receive God's amazing love. We were sinners in the past. They were enemies of God and ungodly. We were the children of wrath who died because of our sins and went to hell. But God had pity on us and sent His only son to this earth to save us. And by allowing Jesus to bear all our sins and die on the cross, he forgave all our sins and made us God's most beloved children. We became children of God through faith.

 

  Jesus loved us so much that he poured out his precious blood and even a single drop of water on the cross. So John explains this love of God like this.

     (1 John 4:9-10) = “The love of God has been revealed to us in this way, because God sent his only begotten Son into the world that we might live through him. Herein is love: not that we loved God, but that God loved us and sent his Son as a propitiation to make atonement for our sins.”

 

The prophet Isaiah also explains God's love in this way. Even if they forget, I will not forget you. I have engraved you on the palm of my hand, and your walls are always before me.”

 

Example) In 1995, near Christmas, a great earthquake occurred in Armenia.

 At that time, as many as 55,000 people were sacrificed because of the devastating earthquake. At that time, a mother and daughter were trapped together in a pile of collapsed buildings. The mother's name was Susanna, and her daughter's name was Guian.

How many hours had passed since the earthquake occurred? The bodies of her mother and daughter were getting colder and colder, trapped in a space where she could not move at all. And in a situation where she didn't know if her help would always come, her little daughter started crying because she was scared. “Mom, I'm scared! Mom, can we not get out of here?” “No, don’t worry. If you wait a bit, the men will come to find us right away”, “What if the men cannot find us? Mom, then we can't get out of here? Are we going to die here?” Turning to her trembling daughter, her mother continued to comfort her that we would be fine.

 

However, three days passed without the help of the rescue they were waiting for in a dark and invisible space. And finally, her child, exhausted by her fear and hunger, gradually lost strength, and her thirsty child would cry out to her mother for food and water again and again.

Their spark of life must have been fading away. But her mother caught something sharp in her hand. It was a piece of glass that was spilled when the building collapsed. And this mom drew her own biceps with that glass shard of hers. She then gave her child to drink her own blood. And again, after a while, rescuers passed by where these two mothers and daughters were being held, heard the cry of the child, and cleared the piles of buildings. When the rescue team cleared the piles of buildings, there was a crying girl who looked relatively healthy. And next to the child lay her mother, who had lost all her water and blood, and became a cold corpse, peacefully.

   Folks, this is her mother's sacrificial love. However, the prophet Isaiah said that the deepest love for a child in the world is a mother's love, and her love for God is incomparably stronger and greater than that mother's love.

 

Again, the prophet Zephaniah sang like this. “The Lord your God is in your midst, the Almighty to save. He will rejoice over you, and will love you silently, and will rejoice over you with a shout of joy” (Zep 3:17) Hallelujah! That's right. We must never forget this fact. Who am I? We must not forget that we are loved by God anytime, anywhere.

 

Conclusion)

Beloved Saints! We all must once again deeply realize the Lord's love today. God urges us today to reaffirm the relationship between me and God and between me and our Lord. And he says, “Do you know how much I love you?” and again, “Listen to the voice of the Lord Jesus.” And when God asks us, Satan or anyone else, “Who are you?”, “I am the wonderful Beloved of God. Jesus is my Lord, and the Lord still loves me unchangingly to the end. And I hope you can boldly shout, “I love the Lord so much.” And still not realizing this love, go out to those who are groaning and wandering in the midst of sin and death, saying, “God loves you. Really terrible!”
